How it works

  • Initial Inspiration

    Begin with a personal consultation session with Patricia Barclay and the Isobel Florence Team. Here, we'll explore your style preferences, and help you find a gown from our collection that you love. 

  • Customise your gown

    Based on your preferences and our expert insights, Patricia Barclay will help you customise your gown so it matches your vision. You can change up to three elements, from switching out fabrics, to changing sleeves. 

  • Made-to-measure

    After you've chosen the perfect gown and made it exactly the design you want, you'll then be measured so your gown can be made to your exact measurements, ensuring it fits you perfectly too.

  • Take home a sketch

    After you've said yes to the dress and we've popped some fizz, Patricia will give you a unique sketch of your customised gown for you to keep forevermore. 

About the Designer

Patricia Barclay is an internationally renowned bridal fashion designer who has just celebrated 23 years in the bridal industry at the helm of her own retail boutique and Bridal Design Studio, and has helped all of her brides choose their wedding dresses.


Patricia holds a wealth of experience in offering custom-made-to-measure and bespoke design atelier, and has produced some beautiful “one off” gowns for hundreds of brides especially over the last 15 years.


Her experience in patterning and construction means that you can expect classic silhouettes embellished with the finest detailing, with cut and construction like no other.

  • What does complimentary customisation include?

    Have you ever tried on something and thought "I love everything about it, except this"? Well we'll take that worry away, with customisation. You can change up to 3 elements of your Patricia Barclay dress, whether it's adjusting the neckline, changing the sleeves, or swapping fabrics. For our designer days only, there's no extra fee to alter your gown. 

  • What does made-to-measure mean?

    Most bridal gowns, your measurements are just used as a guide to determine which dress size is closest to yours. With made-to-measure gowns, your hip, waist and bust measurements will be taken so your gown can be made to your exact size - which means when it comes to alterations, you'll only have to worry about minor teaks, not huge changes.

  • How much does a dress at a Designer Day cost?

    Our designer day will allow you to customise any gown from our Patricia Barclay collection. These gowns range from £1950 - £3000, but the majority of gowns are under £2400.


    Customisation and made-to-measure services are usually subject to an additional fee, but on our designer days, these will be all inclusive.

  • Will you have gowns in my size to try on?

    Yes! We try and ensure we bring in samples for all sizes. In our Patricia Barclay collection, we have samples ranging from sizes 8-28, and depending on the dress, we can accomodate for brides up to size 30. 


    If you're worried at all about there not being gowns for you, you are more than welcome to give us a call and we'll let you know exactly what gowns we have for you to try on.  We're confident we can find a gown for you!
